What is the Colon?
The digestive tract runs from the mouth to the anus. The colon (or large intestine) is the end part. The colon is a large muscle and is approximately 5 feet long and 2 and half inches in diameter. It’s major function is to eliminate waste, to conserve water and some vitamins are absorbed through the colon.
How do I know if my colon is toxic?
A toxic bowel can lead to a multitude of symptoms ranging from wind, bloating, constipation, diarrhoea to headaches, lethargy, skin eruptions/rashes, mood changes, inability to lose weight, hormone dysfunction, low immune system to name but a few.
What is the purpose of having a colonic?
Waste matter such as impacted faeces, parasites, worms, dead cellular tissue and accumulated mucous pose several problems. First they are very toxic and the colon holding the toxins in the body. They can then re-enter the blood stream and make us feel tired, weak or even ill. Also the impacted faeces can inhibit the absorption of vital vitamins and minerals and can affect the muscular activity of the colon leading to sluggish bowel or constipation.
